Why does my TV fail to play sound on digital TV channels?

I've just installed digital TV from my cable provider, keeping my analogic channels. The provider supplied me with a Thomson MediaBox.The Tv is an e-Boda Ultra Slim 21''. On the analogic channels everything works fine. So do the digital ones except they are mute, although I put the volume settings to maximum. Help please!Oh,and please answer seriously. I am already very annoyed as it is. Thank you!

    your TV needs to be hooked up correctly.
    Make sure that, if your using coaxial cables that the coaxial cables are dust-free and have good ends on them; i would recommend compression connectors.
    Also, if you’re using a splitter for your cable TV, than try removing it.
    If you’re connecting the digital cable box via HDMI cable, than try making sure that it’s plugged in correctly.
    If you hooked up the digital cable via A/V cables, than make sure there in tightly.
    If none of these tips work, than try calling your cable service provider.
