I changed the batteries but it still didn't work properly. Like if I use my remote right in front of the modem thingy it doesn't work. It's getting on my nerves because it's never happened before and today it's happening. I couldn't even change the volume or change the channel when I finally turned the cable on. Now I can't turn the cable off but I can turn off my TV. Help! Is this hapening to you too?

I have a sound system, digital cable and a tv. how do I program the cable remote so that you can turn the sound and the tv on with that one remote?

At my house I have one widescreen HD TV, one analog tv with a digital converter installed and many tv's hooked up to cable (Verizon FiOs). My question is will the broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC etc.) be all in widescreen since they will no longer be broadcasting on their 4:3 channel. I love widescreen TV and would love if this happened. On the tv with the digital converter you can watch everything in widescreen, and press zoom if the show is not in widescreen.

Why would they add an SDTV channel? That's such a waste of bandwidth, you can zoom in on the widescreen. Plus in Boston NBC already has two stations, NBC and NBC weather plus on 7-2

Im trying to get my ps3 to play through my 5.1 surround sound system but the AV reciever on the system does not support hdmi in nor digital optical audio in/out.

however, it does support digital coaxial audio in and my tv has the coax out plug.

would i be able to do surround sound by running the cables as so?:

PS3 --> hdmi --> tv (coax out) --> AV reciever(coax in)

I have digital cable plus the encore movie channels, and I was wondering if Exercise TV shows and Tube Time shows are included because when I choose to watch these shows; it says next to them; "Free with subscription". I don't want to be charged more on my bill, so if anyone knows if these shows come with my package, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

Does anyone know what will happen to the analog cable TV (cable TV without a set-top box) when the nation switches to digital TV in February 2009?
I have heard that the cable company may no longer carry local broadcast channels (like ABC/NBC/CBS/FOX etc.) on analog cables, because they will have lost their analog sources, and they are not allowed to or going to convert the digital source back down to analog for transmission... Any comments? Thanks.

Does digital cable (TV) use the same coax cable as analog?
