I have a digital cable box, sony vcr...only composite (Y/W/R) sony DVD/RCVR( 2 component inputs) and sony trinitron tv (2 component/2 composite). How do i need to wire system to record shows on vcr and still have all my features?

I can't seem to receive channels with the digital converter box. What could be wrong?
March 10th, 2010We aren't connected to cable but we used to get channels anyway (with a digital converter box) before we moved. Now that we've hooked it up again in the new house, even with an antenna to help, we can only sometimes get channels, and only two at that, plus they're in Spanish and I don't know Spanish. We did the channel scan. Also, moving it across the house seems to get partial signals from other channels, but still not much luck.

March 10th, 2010Problem_was told by salesperson that the new TV's we bought were HD ready. I know that we told her we were on cable. The installer comes to house & says that they are NOT. HD receiver is not built in & not a connection to plug in the HD 'card' thing. He said they will NOT work after all station & cable company's completely convert over to digital/HD without the 'box' from the cable company. Someone else told us that they WOULD work, just not HD quality. Would like to know if they WILL continue bring in the cable stations or if we will have to throw them out with the trash if we don't get the cable box or go to dish. This situation is completey bogous!!! Thanks You.

March 9th, 2010I just recently purchased a 40" HD television and I do have digital cable but I really don't want to pay right now for the upgrade to HD Cable since not many channels are offered by my carrier. I cannot get satellite where I am at so that is out of the question but I can receive 2 HD locals but the two others I cannot receive. Will getting one of the Digital Converter boxes help me boost my signal reception or should I just invest in a better antenna?

Why does my TV fail to play sound on digital TV channels?
March 9th, 2010I've just installed digital TV from my cable provider, keeping my analogic channels. The provider supplied me with a Thomson MediaBox.The Tv is an e-Boda Ultra Slim 21''. On the analogic channels everything works fine. So do the digital ones except they are mute, although I put the volume settings to maximum. Help please!Oh,and please answer seriously.
